SAHCO International Ltd. was founded in 1975 with a vision to work as a reliable conduit between the Government of Bangladesh and the international organizations and donors as development partners. SAHCO, with two decades of committed service, has proved its worth in nation building initiatives. The name of the company now stands as a symbol of confidence and reliability.
In the past two decades, SAHCO expanded its horizon of activities in various fields of development cooperation. During this time, the company worked efficiently in providing services ranging from power and energy management to inland water transportation.The 2X125 MW Barapukuria Coal-Fired Power Plant, 230/132 KV, 132/33 KV and 33/11 KV sub-stations and 230 KV, 132 KV and 33 KV Transmission Lines are among the key projects implemented by the SAHCO in the power sector of Bangladesh. The company is also working successfully in other areas such as industry, transport, urban and regional development and training for human resource development etc. In the recent years SAHCO has successfully completed numerous other projects including land development by dredger, river training works, construction of the second largest bridge (Paksey Bridge), pumping station etc. with the fullest satisfaction of the respective employers.
In the social sphere, SAHCO constructed a number of schools and colleges for the sake of human resource development imparting the light of education among the future generation.
